Below are the notes on registration to youjo.love

Signing up

You will need to be invited to join the instance. For that, there is two options.

1. Become friends with one or multiple people on this instance, and/or the administrator, who if they feel you are genuine, will offer to invite you.
   • If you aren't invited or known to the administrator and or the users of youjo you will not be able to join. Do not pester users for invites, do not pester the admin for invites, do not mass tag people asking for invites, you will not achieve anything.
2. Make a donation in exchange for an invite link.
   • Please contact the administrator for information, the price is negotiable if for example you are in a country with a low value currency, but anyone who is clearly attempting to get it cheaper just for the sake of it will not be entertained.

Those who ask to be invited for the sake of it, just to have accounts on every single fediverse instance they can, or just to say you have an account on this site, will not be entertained. Do not ask. This is a place for legitimate users only, there can be, and will be, no space given for anyone else, every single user we add costs money to upkeep.

All invite links to this site will expire in one week (7 days, 168 hours, 0.001916496 decades) from creation, if your link expires before you use it, please feel free to contact the admin to request a new one, you must provide the old link in order to prove it has not been used already.

Users of nnia.space, freak.university, baraag.net & pedo.school:

Longer standing users of these instances who have posts and some following may contact the admin directly to ask to be considered for an invite, we offer this courtesy as these instances do block some youjo users. Users who sign up on these instances with the intention to abuse this good-will offer will not be entertained.

One account, all of youjo

With a single youjo.love account, you will be granted access to the following services:

• Pleroma microblogging instance youjo.love
• Soapbox interface for Pleroma sb.youjo.love
• Peertube Instance v.youjo.love
• youjo.love wiki (This site) wiki.youjo.love
• Software git (Gitea) git.youjo.love (single account sign on currently non functional due to a bug)

On request, we can provide two way (soon three way) Redundant Master and/or Slave Authoritive DNS via Bind9 for your site(s), please talk to the administrator if you are interested. (A monthly donation in exchange for this service is encouraged.)

• Kavita or similar instance, which will contain research documents and books.

Migrating your old fediverse account to youjo.love

First, ensure you have registered for this site, you will need your username handy. Then follow the guide for the software that your old instance uses.

Mastodon

• First, create your account alias on your youjo.love account:
• Log into your youjo.love account, click on the gear in the top right corner and visit the security tab.
• Scroll down until you reach "Account aliases", please enter the username of the account you had on your old instance (<yourname>@<YourOldInstance.tld>)
• Now, visit your old instance, log into your account and go to settings.
• Open the "Account" tab and scroll down til you reach "Move to a different account"
• Click on "Configure it here", enter the username of your youjo.love account (<yourname>@youjo.love) and the password for your old account.
• Click "Move followers".
• The transition is complete, please note that this will only send a request to the followers on your old account, asking them to follow your new account, it does not move anything else and some people may decide to not follow your new account.

If you want to move the list of people you follow, visit the Import and Export tab, and click on the CSV button next to "Follows" Visit the settings tab on youjo.love, go to Data Import/Export, annd upload the CSV file you downloaded under "Follow Import" Your youjo.love account will gradually re-follow all the users you previously followed, if you followed any accounts where users decided to restrict their account to an approved following, a request will be sent, but you will not automatically re-follow them until they accept the request..

Pleroma

Please acknowledge that not all pleroma instances allow you to migrate your account. First, create your account alias on your old account:

• Log into your youjo.love account, click on the gear in the top right corner and visit the security tab.
• Scroll down until you reach "Account aliases", please enter the username of the account you had on your old instance (<yourname>@<YourOldInstance.tld>)
• Now, Log into your old account, click on the gear in the top right corner and visit the security tab.
• Scroll down until you reach "Move Account", please enter the username of your youjo.love account (<yourname>@youjo.love) and old account's password, then click "Save Changes"
• The transition is complete, please note that this will only send a request to the followers on your old account, asking them to follow your new account, it does not move anything else and some people may decide to not follow your new account.

Inviting someone you know to youjo.love

To request an invite link for your friend, please contact @administrator@youjo.love. Please provide the following details

• Their name;
• Their current fediverse account; (if any)
• Why they would like to join

It is preferable for the administrator to directly send them an invite link, so if possible, please provide a form of contact that can be used to do so. Some requests will not be accepted, please understand that this needs to be done for the safety and longevity of the instance.

I have problems signing up

• Email is non functional on the instance, please do not provide one.
• Contact the administrator for assistance.
