youjo:Donations
Donations are greatly appreciated and help keep the site online for the long term.
Donation Methods
Monero
Monero is the preferred currency due to it being anonymous, having a low transfer cost and being relatively stable.

Please ensure that the QR code has given you the correct monero address.
- Please do not send other cryptocurrencies to this address, they will be lost permanently.
- Please don't send directly from an exchange to this wallet, instead, send to your own Monero wallet and then to the youjo address.
This prevents you getting banned from the exchange in the unlikely, but possible case that this address is ever blacklisted by one, and prevents risk of your real identity being associated with donations to this site. - If you need help, feel free to contact the administrator.
How to get Monero
The safest way to buy Monero is by avoiding large exchanges, especially ones with KYC.
There is a list of options available on kycnot.me, please spend some time to read the pros and cons for each site.
<Up to date recommendations needed>
With whatever option you choose, please do not send straight from exchanges to the youjo.love address, this defeats the purpose of monero being private, as exchanges can and will log where transactions are sent and for what value.
This means donations can be linked to you if there is any police intervention, since they will attempt to attack the financials of this site if they can't attack any other way.
Please send to your own wallet first, you can use getmonero.org's official desktop wallet, or on a mobile device, Cake Wallet is acceptable.
When you recieve coins into your own wallet from an exchange, the transaction between your wallet and the youjo.love wallet is private, and there is no way for anyone to tell who you sent the coins to, how much you sent, how much is in your own wallet or even if you sent any coins at all, providing you download at least the pruned blockchain.
Please remember with all of this, not your keys, not your coins. Do not keep your money in exchanges, they are well known to pull fractional reserve scams.
Other Cryptos
Donations in other cryptocurrencies, especially ones without a private blockchain are not ideal but will be accepted in special circumstances, please contact Fox for the information required to donate your specified currency.
Donations through other cryptocurrencies are converted through to monero as soon as recieved, so if you wish to claim your spot on the donation leaderboard, your donation will be listed in its monero value.
Source Code Donations
If you provide a reasonable amount of code towards a youjo.love project, you will also be offered the ability to claim the donation badge on the soapbox interface. Please do not ask for this, you will be offered when your contributions are considered significant enough.

Donations in Exchange for an account
It's possible to donate in exchange for an account in the case that you don't fit into the criteria of the other invitation options. In order to do this, you need to contact the administration to request this, the method to donate through monero or other currencies is the same as in the rest of this article, so you should read the entirety of it.
Please note the following things:
- You are still subject to all the rules of the site, you won't be given any extra pardon than another user just because you are a donator, we will keep things fair.
- You might be charged what could be considered a lot for just joining this site, but you must consider that the amount is intended to cover your use of the site, and it will also cover the use of the site for other people, not everyone is able to give financially to keep the site alive, please ensure you understand that donating for an account is an intentionally special case, and youjo.love is an exclusive community which we must keep safe.
- There is no set price, it is still not set in stone and will probably change on a case by case basis and based on the requester's financial situation too, we are willing to reduce the price for people in countries that are in worse financial states than the USA and have a poor exchange rate and buying power. Don't abuse this goodwill offer, because you will be caught.
- The same donation perks do apply to donating for an account, so you may claim them.
Please contact the administrator for information, or to make the donation. You may also email via the email shown here.

Donation FAQ
What happens if you get more donations than you need in a month?
Donations that are over what is needed every month are kept for future use, or months where there isn't enough donations to cover the running costs.
Why is the donation goal on the sidebar higher than the cost to run the site?
Monero has a fluctuating value, and as the cost of the servers is based on the Monero USD value, some amount extra is required to guarantee breaking even, as always, no donated funds are used for anything other than the cost of maintaining the site and any extra, although not considered towards the next month, are kept in reserve for the inevitable times when donations over the course of a month do not cover the costs.
The goal is reset every time the server invoice is paid.
Does the administrator take any donations for themself?
No, all donations go towards the running costs of the site and its related projects, no donations are used for any other purpose.
However, it is stressed that you are giving your money to a single individual, not a company, so please make sure you are comfortable with that.
I can't donate with money, what can I do?
Writing good quality wiki pages, translating the existing ones, helping with the codebase, art and graphic design and more are all helpful, if you don't have the funds to donate then these are the next best things to do.
